Dr. Clarke Hill grew up in a family that raised Irish Setters and almost every childhood picture has him with his special family pets. Being raised in the hills near Moose Jaw provided him with a passion for wildlife.  He enjoys working with species such as elk and bison.

Dr. Clarke Hill has always enjoyed doing surgeries and has a special interest in orthopedic surgery including cruciate surgery.  On the large animal side, Dr. Clarke Hill is renowned for his skill at freezing bull semen A.I. straws for on farm use.

Dr. Christine Ewert Hill grew up on a mixed farm in Southeast Saskatchewan, where her family raised purebred Quarter Horses and ran a training facility.  They also raised cattle and Australian Shepherds, milked goats, and exposed Dr. Ewert Hill to numerous species. She enjoys the medical aspect of veterinary practice regardless of the species. Dr. Christine Ewert Hill believes that the veterinary profession plays a huge role in end of life care for pets, and was responsible for bringing cremation services to Head for the Hills.

In her spare time, Dr. Christine Ewert Hill enjoys barrel racing, trips on her motorcycle and trail riding with her kids.

Dr. Rafael Pineda practiced small animal medicine in several clinics in the city of Bogota for 7 years, he then received the opportunity to move to Canada with his partner Karen. Dr. Pineda grew up in the city of Bogota, Colombia with a family of teachers. His Grandma Bertha started private elementary school back in the early seventies. The family has been surrounded by dogs all their lives and because of this he had heightened interest in animal welfare which then grew to passion for Veterinary Medicine. Now he likes working with both large and small animals. 

With prevalence, dedication and support from his family here in Canada and Colombia, Dr. Pineda has received his full license to practice Veterinary Medicine in Canada. He is very excited to be able to have the mentorship of Dr. Christine Ewert Hill and Dr. Clarke Hill at Head for the Hills Veterinary Health Services. In his free time Dr. Pineda likes to spend time with his family which includes his partner Karen and their daughter Kamilah. He also enjoys music and exercising is his spare time.

Dr. Karen Cadena practiced veterinary medicine in Bagota, Columbia before making the journey to Canada in 2007.
